The Bender Hockey League doesn’t often add athletes with true international pedigree—but Victoria Rumph is exactly that. A veteran of Softball Canada’s Women’s National Team since 2013, she’s competed on global stages (Pan Am silver; World Cup of Softball; Japan Cup) and set records at Youngstown State University before turning pro with the Canadian Wild (NPF). That championship mindset now lives at our hometown rink.
Rumph brings elite habits and a coach’s eye to every shift: meticulous preparation, crisp communication, and a relentless compete level. The catcher’s instincts—reading angles, managing traffic, making split-second decisions—translate seamlessly to hockey. She wins puck battles with leverage, sees plays a beat early, and raises the standard on the bench as much as on the ice. World-class is more than a résumé; it’s how she practices, how she talks to teammates, and how she shows up when it matters.
