League Rules
- Warm ups will be 3 minutes prior to the start of the game. You may want to stretch prior to getting out on the ice.
- No checking. We all have to work the next day.
- Slap shots allowed. Keep the sticks below the waist as much as possible.
- Keep the shifts short. If you are on the ice longer than 2 minutes you probably weren’t skating hard enough.
- Scoring is limited to 3 goals per player for the game.
- Regular Season Tie Games: Ties will be settled with a 3-person shootout. Players may not take a second shot until everyone on their team has had a turn. This rule carries over throughout the season to ensure everyone gets a chance to try a penalty shot.
- Tournament Overtime Format: Sudden-death overtime will proceed as follows:
- 4-on-4 for 4 minutes
- 3-on-3 for 3 minutes
- 2-on-2 for 1 minute
- 1-on-1 for 1 minute
- 17 minute periods. Clock runs continuously unless there is an injury or the referee needs a stop. We adhere to the 3-3-3 rule: the game clock will only stop during the last three minutes of the third period if the score margin is three goals or less.
- Playoff seeding will be based on record. Ties will be broken by head-to-head results, followed by total goals scored.
