Andrew Arnold didn’t come up through the traditional hockey pipeline. His first love was lacrosse, where he excelled as a hard-charging midfielder and even drew interest from Division I recruiters. But when he finally laced up skates seriously in his late teens, he brought with him the sharp hand-eye coordination and fearless competitive edge that made him a standout in another sport.

He’s logged plenty of miles since then, joining men’s league travel squads that took him to Buffalo, Toronto, and small rinks across the border, where his raw talent and unusual style turned heads. Arnold isn’t afraid of the dirty areas — he plants himself in front of the crease, screens goalies, and bangs home rebounds with a scrapper’s touch.

What sets him apart is the way he moves the puck. Years of lacrosse stick fakes show up in his hockey game — a subtle shoulder dip here, a deceptive cradle there — leaving defenders flat-footed. He doesn’t always look polished, but he’s effective, and teammates love the spark he brings. With the best “flow” in the locker room and a knack for making things happen in tight spaces, Andrew Arnold is proof that skill can cross over, and passion for competition always finds a home on the ice.
